NEW DEVELOPMENT ON FORD

This is using the DIY (though we prefer testing this on the Dyno)
X-connect harness and prices exclude Vat, but include fitment.
We already did the Ranger 2L single & bi turbo a few years ago.

For these we also stock the replacement K&N filter,
as well as SS downpipes + complete SS exhaust systems.
NEW DEVELOPMENT ON LAND CRUISER
Toyota 4x4’s have long been on my list of favourites,
as I have been driving these for 40+ years.
The development on Cruiser 200 and 300 series is complete,
with Stainless Exhaust system, replacement K&N and Unichip

EASY CONNECT SYSTEM
I recommend the new Easy Connect system where the client can
un/install the system on his vehicle with only a few connectors.

Though we can still solder them in, cost approx. N$ 4500
NEW UNI-X CHIP
Electronic components have a 'supply life-cycle' and the Q/Q+ and Q4 products main components are nearing its "end of life". This means they will not be available anymore.
We will still support the Uni-Q software, but new installations will now move over to the X or X+ products. That being said we have a lot of used Q- products on hand that we can still do as solder in installations, costing N$ 3000 including tuning
and a
The version X was built on the good features of the version Q, Q+ and Q4 Unichip’s.
Yes, it has a bigger range and faster processing power
Yes, it has CAN bus "sniffer/listen" functions
Yes, it has new software, yes it has internal map selection switches and a new look waterproof enclosure.
Knowing our way around the Uni-Q installation and UniQ program we quickly and easily got used to the Uni-X and its software.
MAP SELECTION
The nice thing is that you can often select between the 5 different maps
(power, towing, Anti-theft, normal etc.) using the stock mode selector, on our newer developments, using the Uni-X.

Of course Keyfob select or bluetooth via Cellphone is still a popular way to switch betwen maps.

FAULT FINDING
I have spent the last month fixing others mistakes. This is good for me and my company, but expensive for the client who not only has to pay those that put his vehicle into disrepair, but also us who first have to correct the fault of others before doing what we do best. So a 1500 N$ tune-=up can end up at 6 Grand or more. Like this Ford V6 that had Cam, head, branches on and just needed a tune according to the client

This 4.5 EFi was tuned somewhere else and this is what it got after a re-tune:

Fuel consumption in the Dunes went from 2.5 to 4.3 Km/L.
Also look at 15 kW more power with our new Stainless exhaust system.
ALL ABOUT TUNING
Tuning info about the V6 Hilux, that applies to most other vehicles
There is a craze that comes by every few years, of changing to
"wild camshafts".
Kan jy die motor nie so ‘n bietjie op die Dyno stel ?
What happens is that the car is not giving the necessary vacuum to the ECU telling it that the car is under partial and not full load. It is far more involved than this.
On fuel injected cars we can often adjust timing and fuelling so that the car stops over-fuelling and has enough timing to actually move.
This is because the
On Carburetted cars things become more difficult,
as there are normally only 3 jetting parameters that can be adjusted:
Idle
First stage main jet
2’nd stage main jet
And on some Weber’s there is also an air jet to play with, whilst others have metering needles.
This is why the Side-draught DCOE and downdraught IDA were developed. They can be adjusted on part throttle acceleration etc.
These died in the 70’s and therefore are difficult to get a hold of.
To adjust a distributor by recurving, taking vacuum and rpm into account is possible, but I am not going there as I would have to charge 1000’s
